Taste of Wilmington Indochine, 7 Wayne Drive

November 14 6-9pm,  

TOW (Taste of Wilmington)

NC We will meet at the bar at 6 pm and sit down for dinner about 6:30 pm. Our restaurant of choice last month was Port City Chop House. We had nine persons attending at a very nice round table so we could all see and talk easily. We had fun discussing upcoming skiing events and some experiences on past trips. You must believe that this Cape Fear Ski Club has been Cape Fear Ski & Outing Club November Newsletter around awhile. Some of those stories come from the last century (lol). And oh, by the way, some of the skiers sitting at this table are very, very good skiers. So to continue our ski club traditional of hearty meals and good fellowship, this is the plan for November.

Out of about nine possible venues suggested by the group, this month our selected restaurant trek will take us to Indochine, a Far East style cafe featuring Thai-Vietnamese authentic Asian cuisine.

Prepare yourself for an exquisite Thai experience. For centuries the Thai people have been preparing, refining and, ultimately, perfecting their own unique cuisine in a symphony of subtle flavorings. The selections offered here are a distillation of many of their favorite dishes, gathered from every region in the Kingdom, to bring you a classic delicious Thai dining experience.

Christmas Party

Hieronymus Seafood restaurant

Since many of our members will be in Steamboat the first week in December, our meeting and
annual ski club holiday party will be in the main dining room at Hieronymus Seafood restaurant on Tuesday, December 12. This gala event is always a great way to celebrate the holiday season.
Here’s the scoop:

COST – The party is FREE (except for cocktails and other beverages) for all club members. However, you must be a paid up ski club member to attend the party. Membership applications will be accepted at the party. This is an opportunity for those of you who have been thinking about joining or who haven’t paid this year’s dues to complete your application for membership and enjoy the free food and a terrific party.
TIME - Cocktail hour will begin at 6:00 with appetizers being served and drinks available from the
restaurant. Food will be served at 7:00.

FOOD – Dinner will be served buffet style and will include the following menu items: shrimp,
yellowfin tuna with glaze, meatballs and marinara, mini crabcakes with aioli, chicken wings, chicken Satay, pasta salad, garlic cheddar biscuits, assorted cheeses/cheese ball, assorted vegetable crudite, tossed garden salad with dressing.
